Welcome to LifeAperture, where you can catch a glimpse of the world as I see it. I struggle with where the balance is between being a narcissistic blogger & truly sharing ideas or experiences. If at any point you feel that have lost my humility in this process, please let me know. I want this blog to be a place to share photographic tips and experiences, but I also want it to connect to the human need to understand & be understood.
Webster describes Aperture as “1) an opening or open space : hole, and 2) the opening in a photographic lens that admits the light.” I want this blog to be an opening to the world of photography as well as a place to allow light to touch us. You can call light what ever you want; knowledge, “Ah-Ha Moments,” God, or even god. Light has a funny way of illuminating the darkness and changing your perspective, changing the way you see the world around you. Light allows you to see color. Light can drive out fear. Lights at the end of tunnels give hope. Lights at airports give instruction and guidance. Lights on signs provide information. In the Bible, especially the book of John, Light represents the Son of God. It is my desire that this blog will be the Aperture through which light is admitted.
